DAN C. TATE, SR. Dan Tate Sr. brings over three decades of extensive government relations and public policy experience to this successful bipartisan lobbying firm. Mr. Tate served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Congressional Liaison (Senate). As President Jimmy Carter’s chief legislative representative to the United States Senate, he was responsible for all Presidential matters involving Senators and their staffs, Senate Committees and their professional staffs and all legislative activities on the Senate Floor.
Mr. Tate’s government and private-sector experience includes: · Seven years as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Herman E. Talmadge (D-GA). · Two years as Vice President of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) in its Washington corporate office. · Ten years as a partner in the Washington D.C. law firm of Camp, Barsh & Tate, and eight years as Senior Vice President of Cassidy & Associates, Washington D.C.’s largest public affairs firm. Currently President of Dan Tate, LLC, a government relations firm, Mr. Tate’s clients’ diverse legislative and regulatory interests have included telecommunications, financial services, antitrust, defense, energy, environmental, tax, international trade and foreign policy issues. A native of Atlanta, and a graduate of Emory University (B.A., 1966) and the University of Georgia School of Law (J.D., 1969), Dan Tate Sr. is a member of the Bars of the State of Georgia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Tate serves on the boards of The First Tee of Washington D.C. and the 116 Club, Inc.
